Debt Management System released

Its been a few months since my last blog, our dev team has been very busy rolling out new changes to the Genesis Smart Client Framework (will be on codeplex soon, look out for release 1.51.1024.0) and to an existing system that we had.

The existing system is a Debt Counselling system that helps alleviate the financial burden on debtors and by paying creditors in a predictable and reliable fashion. The system was initially developed for Voluntary Distribution, however over time has grown and now supports Garnish Order Alleviation, Judgement Order Rescision and the National Credit Act of South Africa (www.ncr.org.za).

The Hilts Debt Counselling system (www.hilts.co.za) runs on the Genesis Smart Client Framework as a platform to deliver an always-up-to-date application experience to our users.

Added application template to the Genesis Smart Client Framework

I've just released a new version of the source code on Code Plex.

This release contains a template project and the database configuration for the minimum implementation required for a C# hosted application that will run in the Smart Client application.

New article published

A new article has been published in the series of articles on Code Project on my C# Smart Client.

This article covers the management of the Genesis Smart Client Framework. It deals with the configuration of the Meta-Data, user interface and application security. It also covers the deployment process for the Smart Client system in a development and production environment.

Added new samples for the Genesis Smart Client Framework

The new sample is a custom Smart Client application that connects to the Genesis Smart Client Framework back-end. This custom Smart Client application does not use any 3rd party libraries for any part of the user interface and demonstrates how to load existing applications' user interfaces into different Smart Client applications.

Updated Code Project articles

I have to admit, after not interacting with my code for a year or so, its purpose was lost on me at the time that I wrote the initial Code Project articles. I have in turn done quite a lot of fix-up work on the project, mostly in preperation for the public release thereof.

Today I created the code plex project for the future management of the open source branch of the Genesis Smart Client Framework. It can be found at http://genesissmartclient.codeplex.com/.

moved house this weekend

We moved to a new house this weekend, it has dedicated office space. I will upload some pictures later. Internet Solutions has registered our website (www.bluemarble.co.za) however we're still waiting for some silly DNS things to correct themselves.

Once the site is functional, I'll actually create the website showcasing our products and services offered.

Genesis Smart Client Framework released

We have just released our Genesis Smart Client Framework to the public with full source disclosed.

It is available at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/smart/GenesisSCFpI.aspx and is for Microsoft.NET 3.5 and was developed in C#.
